What State Sovereignty is In Constitution, List Sovereign States in USA

If you found this post off of the Google Machine, and are not subscribing to my email updates (shame on you, fill out the box on the left), you were probably looking up either a list of sovereign states in the USA… I will get to that, but what good does this information even do us if we fail to understand what state sovereignty is in accordance with the U.S. Constitution.

The 10th Ammendment of the Constitution, which is also in the bill of rights, reads as such…  “Article the Twelfth… The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

So what does this really mean?  If the constitution doesn’t SPECIFICALLY state that the United States has the power to do something and it doesn’t SPECIFICALLY state that the states do not have the power to do something, then the rights or liberties are given to the states, which are meant to be more locally influenced governing bodies.  It also says that the PEOPLE have the right as their own private and personal governing body to enact the specific act or personal law upon themselves.

Even with all of this power removed from the Federal Government (FG) and given to the local states (governing bodies including individuals), the FG decides that it will impede on our liberties more and more on a daily basis.  Many people are standing up against this, and I would call many of these people “Libertarians”.  Many states are also standing against some laws.  The states have not only understood this ammendment, but they also decided to officially declare sovereignty in law.  This has allowed them to pass more laws that will allow them to ARREST FEDERAL LAW ENFORCEMENT and place them in STATE prisons.

I, for one, would like to see ALL states declare sovereignty and show local power, but so far only a few have.

Now for the list of Sovereign States.  If there are any inadequacies in this list, I appologize ahead of time, but leave comments below the post, and I will try to update the list according to comments.  If you wanted to help a busy man out, you could link to the bill of the state claiming sovereignty.

  3. TX: Never was willfully ceded to the States, but sovereignty isn’t officially declared.  With their own power grid and current state setup, they could be the most capable of suceeding from U.S., so they are considered, but not on the official list
