This isn’t going to be a long one, I hope.  Sometimes, I just forget to stop typing.  If you want to slow down and live a simple, fulfilling life, you may want to try living in a tiny house.  Micro houses are becoming another new fad in homesteading and prepping.  Many people now call them their dream houses.

Why tiny or micro houses?

  1. They are easy to build for the basic DIYer (do it yourselfer).
  2. When done correctly, they are extremely energy efficient.
  3. Easy to customize.
  4. Quick to build.
  5. Ease of maintenance.
  6. Extremely inexpensive.

Why not tiny houses or micro houses?

  1. Small for a large family, but this can be managed.
  2. Lack of storage space.
  3. Typically not a permanent framed structure, so if you are in a strong storm area, you need to spend on a storm shelter.
  4. Storage Space.
  5. Storage Space.
  6. Storage Space.

I actually like the idea of a tiny house because it is something that people can pay cash for.  Then they have a place free of a mortgage while they build a larger place with cash, or build multiple tiny houses.  They also have the option to just stay in the one tiny house so they can use their finances on more important self-sufficiency.  In this structure, I think it is MUCH easier to meet self-sufficiency goals for homesteaders and preppers.  If anyone that lives in a micro house would like to talk to me, just email me.
